On the actual 4
th of July this year we got to relax! So nice! On the 5
th...we played! We started out at the Layton parade, curbside.

The kids loved the horses, cheerleaders, marching bands, old-fashioned cars...all of it. Apparently, I have passed my aversion to loud noises on to my children. The sirens were too much. But Beck waved anyway.

Beckam couldn't help but break it down to the music. He loves to dance!

After the parade, we braved the crowds and found some lunch at the "carnival" (I don't know what else to call it). The kids wanted to ride the train but the line was like an hour long! Instead, we went to my parents and they ran (naked...because I forgot to bring swimming suits) through the sprinklers (yes, in the privacy of the backyard). Then we had a fun BBQ with my family before dropping in on the BBQ with Adam's extended family!

The kids were troopers and stayed up so we could go to the fireworks with the
Dahls.
Saylor loved it,
Beckam was afraid they'd be "too loud and too hot" (again with the loud noises) but he ended up enjoying them too!
