We took a trip to the zoo last week and we couldn't have picked a better day to go. It was 70 degrees, not crowded, and the animals were so active! We had so much fun.
Here are our little monkeys looking at the monkeys.
Beckam kept going "ooh ooh!
ahh ahh!" They loved them. Saylor held that map the entire time. She felt very official with it.

The baby elephant was so cute. It doesn't look like it from
Beckam's face in the picture, but they were really excited about it (he just looks annoyed). It kept sticking it's head through the fence to eat the grass and Say and Beck thought that was hilarious.

We rode the carousel.
Saylor loved it...
Beckam hated it. It was so unlike him! He's normally fearless but he was sure hating that ride. He screamed and squirmed the entire time. We made it really fun for all the other zoo patrons.

This giraffe was right in our face! Some other (crazy) people were sticking their hands out and the giraffe was licking them with its disgusting purple tongue! It was like a foot long!

We rode the train, very exciting.
Beckam is obsessed with "
choo choo tains" so we thought he'd really enjoy this.

But we were wrong. He must have had an off day because he hated this too. He's screaming and climbing all over me. He did calm down once it got going.

You'll notice we're in short-sleeves! In November! I'm never going to the zoo in the summer again. It was so perfect.
