Saylor's 1st Dance Recital

Saylor started dance in August and has been working really hard since then to prepare for her recital.
It was a Northridge High School, and she was so excited to be dancing on the big stage...finally!
She and her class posed for a few pictures before they went on stage. Saylor was kind of nervous, but mostly just bursting at the seams with excitement!
She said she was nervous and scared to be in front of all the people. We could see the fear when she first walked out on stage, she shielded her eyes from the lights and looked all around the audience to find us. After that, she looked at us and smiled the whole time!
She did an amazing job. She knew the dance so well and did it perfectly. She even sang the words to the song she was dancing to.

She was in 2 numbers. The second was a Christmas dance. She was a toy soldier. She moved so sharply in this dance, just like a robot...er....soldier.

After the finale, Santa and Mrs. Claus came out! Check out Saylor's face. She was so excited! (she is the last soldier on the top row, next to the elves)
After the performance, Santa and Mrs. Claus were waiting to see the kids! Beckam was pretty excited too. I thought he'd be afraid but he did pretty well!
Santa asked Beck what he wanted and Beckam just said "that candy cane." Funny boy!
Saylor got to sit on Mrs. Claus' lap! She told her that she wanted a barbie.
