Saylor's 4th Birthday

Saylor is 4!! We can't believe it either. We celebrated for about a week so Saylor had lots of fun this year!

On her birthday she woke up to lots of presents, but we wanted the excitement to last the whole day so we let her open up 1 present every few hours (I know, we're so mean). Much of Saylor's life revolves around the Disney princesses so most of her presents had something to do with them. For Beckam's present to Say he chose foam princesses for the bathtub....big hit.
Saylor loves to draw, color, and practice her writing so we got her a desk! She's practically glued to it 24/7 now.
For lunch we went to Chuck E. Cheese and played. Saylor and Beckam absolutely love this place, they had so much fun.

That night we had a party with the Dahls. If you ask Saylor what her 1 wish in this life would be she will tell you she wishes to be a real mermaid "with real fins and long hair and real seashells". So, naturally, she wanted to have a Little Mermaid birthday party.
We turned Grandma Dahl's house into an ocean. I hung up streamers to be waves and put "seaweed" on the walls. She had Ariel cupcakes and pizza! We had lots of fun!
Saylor got to bring the snack to preschool the day after her birthday. She wore a birthday crown and they sang to her. She loved the attention. They also sang to her in primary on the Sunday before her birthday. They gave her a notebook and pen, which she was so excited about. They asked her a bunch of questions too: favorite flower- rose, favorite color- pink and blue, favorite story- The Little Mermaid, favorite movie- The Little Mermaid.

Saylor's cousin, Brinkley, has a birthday 2 days after her. They're only a year apart so they're best friends and don't mind sharing a birthday party at all every year (so far). So we went down to Chels and Craig's for that fun party. Half the decorations were Tom and Jerry (Brinkley's favorite) and the other half were, you guessed it, Ariel. The girls were so excited to open presents together.

They each had their own cupcake "cakes". Thanks Chels and Craig for all you did to make the party so fun!

Natalie got Saylor a "kitty-bank", as Saylor calls it. It came all plain and ready to paint. Saylor LOVES to paint and she couldn't wait to get to work on her kitty! She did it all by herself!! I was so proud and so impressed!
Saylor is my little best friend. She has so much personality. She's fun, stubborn, creative, funny, so smart, friendly, sweet, and growing up so fast. We love you Saylor girl! Happy Birthday!!
